How do you prepare a parcel for shipment? 1. Pack your shipping contents in a strong cardboard box. 2. Ensure that all pieces are packed tightly. 3. If necessary, fill gaps with paper or other material. 4. Seal the box with packing tape. 5. Write the addresses directly on the box - sender’s address in the top left corner and recipient’s address in the center. 6. Weigh your parcel. 7. In the store, complete the Customs Declaration Form.
Please be advised that actual sea and air parcel weights that are used to calculate shipment charges apply only to gift parcels with content such as food or clothing. Other rules may apply to larger-sized and underweight parcels. Correct charges for a sea parcel can be based on a weight calculated by multiplying length x width x height of a parcel box in inches, divided by 140, producing a valid parcel weight in pounds. SEA PARCEL WEIGHT IN POUNDS = (length x width x height) / 140 Air parcel weight should be calculated by multiplying length x width x height of a parcel box in inches, divided by 166, producing a valid parcel weight in pounds. AIR PARCEL WEIGHT IN POUNDS = (length x width x height) / 166 Charges are based on whatever is greater, the actual weight or the calculated weight using the above formulas.
